Cookie Policy
This policy outlines how Wynklo utilizes cookies and browser storage technologies to streamline your experience, optimize web speed, and preserve state choices when using our digital studio.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are minor text records placed in your web browser directory by platforms you visit. They are used widely to verify identities, preserve session variables, remember interface preferences, and generate site performance statistics.
Along with standard HTTP cookies, we may use local web storage technology (such as HTML5 LocalStorage and SessionStorage) to deliver fluid transitions and save complex wizard inputs without putting stress on our servers.
How Wynklo Uses Cookies
We categorize cookies and storage records into three primary areas:
1. Essential System Operations (Required)
These elements are essential to navigate pages and activate features. For example, our custom project onboarding wizard requires SessionStorage to retain selections between Step 1 (Category selection), Step 2 (Context details), and Step 3 (Technical features). Removing these technologies will disrupt our onboarding wizard and stop interactive previews from compiling.
2. Preference Retention (Functional)
These items remember selections you make (such as active mockups, dark mode preferences, or close buttons clicked on popups) so that you aren't repeatedly prompted for choices upon reloading pages.
3. System Performance and Telemetry (Analytics)
We use high-level, anonymous analytics tools to count visits, map how users navigate sections, discover broken links, and audit page load speeds. This helps us refine code, optimize Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) performance, and make the experience seamless.
Specific Technologies Set
The files and storage entries established when browsing our systems include:
- `_wynklo_wizard_state`: Preserves your current wizard step and choices during a session (SessionStorage).
- `_wynklo_careers_dismissed`: Prevents the careers notification banner from repeatedly appearing after you close it (LocalStorage).
- `_wynklo_insights_dismissed`: Prevents the insights newsletter popup from blocking your view after dismissal (LocalStorage).
- `_ssl_secure_token`: Essential security headers validating SSL handshake authentication.
Managing Cookie Settings
Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can edit your browser settings to completely reject cookies or notify you when a site is setting one.
Please note that disabling cookies or clearing browser databases will affect specific features. For example, our Project Onboarding Wizard and Interactive Wireframe mockup preview depend on browser storage to align options and render.
